I have been told that I have far too many cameras by my wife, multiple times. But there’s one thing that we can definitely agree upon. The Kodak folders (and many other Folders) are great Art-Deco cameras.
They also make awesome decoration around the house, working or not working. Regardless, I do have a lot of cameras. Cameras from the simple and mundane, to the weird, and even some that are ridiculous!
Strange designs, weird ergonomics, and incredible lenses.
From manual simple single shutter speed cameras, to exotic looking electronic cameras. Yup, I have a weird collection. Regardless, I do have one simple thing in mind with them all. To use them as often as I can, and use as many and work with the short comings of the camera.
This week #8, I have decided to change the pace. Instead of worrying about focus, or having a whole slew of photos to flip through, this time I’m going with a Kodak Junior Vigilant Six-20 folder loaded with Ilford Delta 400ASA film. I intend on developing this film with either Rodinal, or HC-110.
Chances are, it’ll be Rodinal 1+50, because of the incredible sharpness of Rodinal, and since it’s a Delta grain film, I’m looking forward to the fineness to the grain.
So on to week #8. I’m already 2 frames in, and looking forward to seeing how the week progresses!
Until next time, fellow Pressers.. keep those shutters firing!
Looks like fun!
If we could ever get some decent light, it would be great… Today was a write-off!
I do love the design and craftsmanship of these folding cameras. Sounds like a fun week ahead for you. Cheers!
I look forward to seeing what you capture.
I cant wait to see your exposures
They are to be developed tonight or tomorrow night. Should be great fun..
I imagine a camera like this would give a real vintage look to the photos! I am looking forward to see the results!
I’m wondering… but since I used Delta 400, which is a super fine grain and super sharp film, I am not convinced it will….
But the single element lens might change that….
