Just Won’t Quit. Originally I had planned to go down into the gully behind the Sheridan Trafalgar campus where there is some nice hiking trails to show that yes, it’s April and there’s snow on the ground still, that winter just won’t quit. However after the failure of week 12 and the not so great showing of week 13 (which I hadn’t originally planned on posting), and wonderful words of encouragement from Heather, I dropped the gully idea and on Heather’s comment, Just Won’t Quit turned into, I won’t quit the project.
Because I was thinking it. A nearly sleepless night had basically started coming up with all these “fun” scenarios including that of the Hasselblad was going to need to go in for repair because that’s where the problem was, even through logically the camera wasn’t the issue, maybe the chemistry the brain said, nope, couldn’t be that either, it was the change bag. I knew that. Sadly this is how my own personal anxiety starts to show up.
But I broke through all that, with help. And here we are, Week 14, and Week 15 already processed and scanned! No real theme this week, I just carried the camera with me one day at work and shot what I saw. Random stuff, signs, close ups, even with a wide-angle lens. Because it should be fun, it shouldn’t be a chore. And the best part, Heather would’ve supported me even if I had canned the project. I am a very blessed man, and she is pretty special.
