Week 17: Borough Market

I have done a little reflecting on on my project and the way forward.  I need to shake myself up to ensure I keep this interesting for us all.  So over the next few weeks I’m going to be experimenting more & more with the Holga & various film types and film processing.  So the below has been bought to start the process.

So keep any eye out for some weird and hopefully wonderful trials and tribulations.

Anyway back to this week.  I shot Ilford XP2 super 400.  This is my favourite favourite 35mm film for so many reasons.  I can’t believe I have got to week 17 before putting a roll through the Holga.  I went to the Borough Market area of London which is just south of London Bridge.  This is a very popular market for some outstanding food to buy, great restaurants and lots of bars and coffee shops.  Normally people shoot it in colour due the the vibrancy of the area, I choose B&W….see what you think.

  1. I like the black and white. Because the buildings are old (at least by California standards, where nothing is more than 50 years old or they tear it down), the black and white makes the crowds of people a bit timeless – could be anything in the last 20 years. I like that.
