The day after returning from LA (see my previous posts), I left for a two-day trip to Marseille, my last trip of the year. Here are a few photographs from my trip. I actually lived in Marseille for a few years when I first came to France, so I know the city quite well. But I was at a meeting (of course), so I didn’t get much of a chance to see the city. My hotel was close to the Vieux Port, and leaving for the meeting in the morning I saw the fish sellers on the Vieux port. This a Marseille tradition, although I am not sure how many people actually buy anything there. There are photographic opportunities that is for sure.
Here are a few other photographs taken from near our meeting room, a University building which is next to the famous “Palais du Pharo”, as well as near the Vieux Port. “The Peano” by the way is one of the few “real” restaurants around or near the Vieux Port, if any of you are ever in town.
That’s it for this time! Next time, Paris. Thank you for your attention.
Technical. Photographs were taken with a Leica M6 with a Summicron f2.0/50mm. Film: Kodak Tri-X 400 developed in HC110 B / Rodinal for around 6mins/ 11mins (running out of HC110!).
