I Quit

It’s already near the end of the year. Life got the better of me this time. While I shot at least 35 rolls of medium format and have developed and scanned them, I just don’t have it in me to write the rest of the posts. I am certainly not going to shoot another 17 rolls before year end. I will leave you with one of my faves from the year. It’s actually 35mm shot on a NikonFE and a Rollei 35s using color infrared film. The film was shot partway through in Iceland a year earlier, then rewounds and shot in the Rollei in Japan this year. Some of the middle frames overlapped but I forgot the two cameras wind the film in different directions so the double exposure frames are kind of  cool.

I’ve really enjoyed participating in this project for the last two years and perhaps I’ll take it up again at some future date. For now I’m hoping to get my photo mojo back in the new year. Maybe I’ll actually work on my own blog and website. I’ll continue to follow this fascinating and varied group. And in the meantime, as the phrase goes, You can’t fire me because I quit. I quit. I quit. Much love and thanks to you all.

  1. I understand completely. I’m so close to finishing (and I have dozens more photos from my road trip), so I’m going to complete the 52 posts before signing off. I’ll be focusing on Print making in 2018. BUT I’ll still be watching you all and leaving likes and comments.

  2. Re-visiting this article I am glad youve come back and hit 2018 with energy! I love reading about your work, so if this comment spurs you on even just a little then great! Keep the articles coming, people like myself love to give them a read.
